    .. .. .. .. .. .. ....make....your....profile..cool......MySpace Editor by purple-guide.com.... I started drumming on the Grand Ole’ Opry with Jimmy C. Newman in April, 1984 thru 1988. Then IN 1988 I played with CONWAY TWITTY, as one "The Twitty Birds." In ’90 I Went back to the Opry until I joined MERLE HAGGARD and was one of "THE STRANGERS". I was with Merle from Sept. ’96. until Feb. ’99. I recorded acoustic guitar and drums on 6 of his albums. I recorded two albums with JOHN ENGLAND AND THE WESTERN SWINGERS, that were ..1 on the western swing charts. My brother Brent and I just finished an album called SMOKIN’ SECTION that features songs we wrote. (instrumentals and vocals) It has swing, jazz, and blues on it. It is now on WMOT JAZZ 89.5 and is available on our web sites. I’m still doing the Opry with Jimmy C. and doing sessions, as well as playing downtown when I can. You can hear my drumming on many T.V. shows such as, FRIENDS, LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS, ESPN , WAG THE DOG, CNN, and others. I have been fortunate to have backed other artists such as... Hank Thompson, Jeannie Pruett, Nat Stuckey, Sheb Wooley, Lynn Anderson, The Browns, Little Jimmy Dickens, Alan Jackson, Kitty Wells, Margo Smith, Buddy Emmons, Carl Butler, Jeannie Seely, Jack Greene, Norma Jean, Billy Walker, Jan Howard, Buddy Spicher, Darrell McCall, Stella Parton, Phil Baugh, Paul Franklin, Susie Boggus, Charlie Walker, Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart, Lorrie Morgan, Jypsi to name some..... .. .. .. ......     I have been Praying for You, and Brent, My Friend!  I read Our Hometown Paper, and hope You Guys didn't loose to much Equiptment.  My Brother Darryl Leatherman, talks to Brent sometimes on another Site, but hasn't recently.  He just moved back to Ohio, from Michigan about a Week and a half ago.  Please let Me know how You are doing ok?  Hugs and Blessing's, from Your Hometown Friends, Darla and Son Brandon.
