    I started playing guitar in 2004 at the age of 14, after watching Joe Satriani's performance on the old expo 1992 guitar legends video. I was mesmerized with Joe's performance, hence the birth of my interest in guitar playing. I got my first guitar as a birthday gift (Stagg Stratocaster Copy), but never really started focusing on my playing until I was 15 when I got a quality guitar and amp. Since then I have played every day, practicing for as many hours as I can fit in. In the early days of playing guitar I was a huge thrash fan; I loved Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, etc. Fascinated by the sophisticated lead guitar work, I began learning Metallica and Megadeth guitar solos. A few years later, I had developed a few lead licks and was looking for something new. I turned to progressive music -- the likes of Dream Theater, Symphony X, Nevermore, Meshuggah, Pagans Mind, Circus Maximus, and many others. I fell in love with the melodies, the odd time signatures, and the great musicianship of these bands. I also have a big interest in jazz fusion and many forms of jazz, and was similarly influenced by guitarists such as Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Frank Gambale, Greg Howe, and Alan Holdsworth. More recently, I've been listening to a lot of the heavier, darker, more modern types of metal. I can hear this influence reflected in my songwriting. In mid-2008, I was asked to play guitar on Bobby Williamson's (ex Outworld, Thought Chamber) solo album. It was a great day, as I was, and am still, a huge fan of Outworld. Bobby's solo idea further progressed into a melodic progressive metal band called 'Eumeria'. We are currently in the process of releasing our debut album 'Rebel Mind', which is being mixed at Hansen's studio in Denmark, with a release expected in early 2011 ..
