    .. The Sajrawy-Afif Project has made it possible for three musicians to meet and work together despite the political boundaries in the Middle East. A Palestinian guitarist and composer from Nazareth Michel Sajrawy met Rony Afif – a Lebanese drummer who works in Dubai – on Myspace where Rony suggested that his brother Elie Afif be the bassist in this project, and so it was... After a while, Michel decided to write new compositions for this trio and instrumentation taking into account the common geographical area and the cultural background of the three musicians... The Jordan Festival 2009 was the first opportunity to meet and try the “new tunes” of Michel & Rony. Communication, listening and mutual respect arose right from the first rehearsal. The third rehearsal took place in a studio in Amman where they managed to record their first demos. The festival gig was a success on the following day, with an attendance of a vibrant and warm audience.....
