    Formed in May 2008, Suplex The Kid are one of the most exciting bands to come out of the fertile Glasgow music scene. Citing a love of Post Rock and garnering comparisons to Explosions In The Sky, Suplex The Kid are already challenging their sonic heroes, with their increasing reputation leaving comparison redundant. Prolific as well as perfectionist, Suplex The Kid have released an eponymous début album on Monograph Records, recorded a single with legendary Mogwai producer Andy Miller, and are already putting the finishing touches to their second album. The Kid's début album gained internet notoriety for its epidemic spread, being played on radio in America, Portugal, Italy, Hungary and Australia, and from receiving over 4000 downloads from rapid share, blog sites alone. Word of mouth has made this one of the true underground Scottish success stories of the last year. "locked on post-rock, leaving you breathless."
