  • Bio

Svetozar Hristov was born on 09.06.1977 in Sofia. He grew up in Stara Zagora, where everybody knew him as Doktora (The Doctor). His father was a double-bass player and his mother was a singer. His childhood dream was to become an astronaut. He was 16, when he realized, that the music is a part of his life. He studied music only for a few months. Two years ago Svetlio took part in a TV competition in Slavi's Show. The promised prize was to produce a CD for the winner. Although he managed to win, the musical producer of Slavi's Show Evgeni Dimitrov refused to give him that prize. A show was made instead, where Svetozar and four other singers from the ''Ku-ku Academy" were host. There were three seasons of the show. The five singers took part in Slavi Trifonov's tour in 2005 as well. Dissatisfied with the fact, that he wasn't given the promised prize, Svetozar quit and then started working with A-productions (a company created especially for him and his colleague Lora Vladova), but after a while it was ruined and in the moment Svetozar has no producer. He has written many songs and poems and already a whole book, as well. Svetozar took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for Bulgaria 2008 with three songs. All of them were sent to the semifinal, where a commission refused to let them go ahead in the competition. It turned out, however, that one of the other songs has been publicly performed before October 1, 2007 and it was disqualified. "Tired soul" - Svetozar's duet with Vladimir Dimov, another colleague from "Ku-ku Academy", took its place. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. <mspmb src="http://lads.myspace.com/photoshow/slideshow.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" wmode="transparent"
