With roots in the US, Switzerland, Lebanon and the Ivory Coast, DJ Swissivory has rocked different kinds of venues around the World. Mainly known as an Urban Music DJ, his depth of knowledge across different genres have shaped his distinct style of play, which ranges from 80’s, Rock, Soul, Funk, Reggae, African, Arabian and Electronic Music, to Hip Hop and R&B as well as Old School Classics. He is also a musician and has been playing the piano since age 8, which gives him an edge when selecting his music. Some of his credits include Chamillionaire, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, DMX, or M.O.P. .... Growing up in the Ivory Coast, DJ Swissivory moved to Boston to study Economics, and completed his Bachelor’s degree at Boston University in 2005. During his time in the US, Swissivory mixed in Montreal, Boston, Connecticut and New York City. After a couple of years work experience, he moved back to Switzerland to be closer to his family. Since then, living in the heart of Europe has enabled him to mix in Holland, Germany, France, and England. However, Swissivory has also kept in touch with the other side of the Atlantic, as he regularly goes back to the US to mix and spin at clubs and special events. .... He has also been involved with breaking new music and new artists on his own weekly radio show on www.paradisefm.net. He is Switzerland’s representative for Slip N Slide Records (Miami) (www.slipnslideworld.net), which boasts multi-platinum artists such as Rick Ross, Trina, Plies, Trick Daddy and more. Furthermore, DJ Swissivory is also an official member of the Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes DJ coalition, whose credits boast the industry’s best artists. As a Supremus Sounds official member (www.supremussounds.com), Swissivory has been able to establish himself as a local resident club DJ. .... On top of being a successful radio and club DJ, Swissivory founded his own record label, One Hustle Records (www.onehustlerecords.com), a label which provides artists in Europe the possibility to collaborate with American artists and vice-versa. The motto of his label is simple, “One Life, One Love, and One Hustle: Music”. Through One Hustle Records, Swissivory has promoted various artists and released CD’s and mixtapes which have sold thousands of copies across Europe and the US, and which have been downloaded on the internet over and over again. .... Swissivory is a passionate and hard-working individual whose dedication to music has helped him achieve success as a club, radio and mixtape DJ. Swissivory is one of the few independent DJ’s who has a presence in the United States and Europe.
