Taxicab DISMEMBERMENT was formed by Jeremiah(x-PUTRESCINE, x-Catharsis) and Kevin (x-Secada) in May of 2008, the two were seeking other local musicians to create a Death Metal band. Shortly after Rob joined the two and the trio created a solid death metal sound... .. Later TCDM picked up Mikhail on bass and the band started leaning towards a ambient experimental / death metal sound. Mid 2008 TCDM recorded the first 7 track EP "7 Things To Say When Caught Masturbating" with What Just Happened Studios. Shortly after Mikhail left the group for personal reasons... .. In the winter of 2008 TCDM took the winter to write, within these months Jeremiah and Rob took in a experimental tech-grind influence with a swing of grind-core and death metal. Kevin decided to leave the band for personal reasons, in which the two remaining members contacted John (x-Written In Remains, x-Buried And Still Breathing) to fill the vocalist position... .. In 2009 TCDM played out as much as possible as a continuing three piece tech-deathgrind-core band. The end of 2009 approached and the band decided to again take the winter to write new material, but before this TCDM worked with What Just Happened Studios and recorded the 2009 Demo... .. Having set plans for the new sound they wished to push towards, TCDM started seeking a bassist and second guitarist. After multiple try out sessions with various musicians the band picked up El (From Simple Fear, x-Bitch In The Basement)... With El's grind influences the band kicked off an entire new full sound and continued playing shows and recording throughout the early months of 2010. As the year went on and TCDM pressing their boundaries the band decided to seek out for a second guitarist again, in which Zach (x-Thrill For The Kill) joined the TCDM family... .. Currently the five are finishing up writing new material for the full-length before mid summer and preparing for The Royal Epidemic Tour with HyenaFeast in August... Two tracks from the Full Length (Hot Peppers & Scissors and Face Eraser) are currently up for listening. The name of the full length is currently TBA. .. .. .. You can get a copy of TCDM's 2009 Demo at any show for free!.. If you are unable to make it to one of our shows contact them via myspace and arrangements will be made to send the Demo to you via e-mail... ..
