I just posted my song for the movie Henry Poole Is Here. it took me awhile to get it right, but i'm happy with the final result. I realized i like getting some directions and deadlines... i guess it's a kick i need to get things done sometimes.

We just came back from the awards ceremony held in Branson, MO on Saturday, March 29th. For those of you who don’t know about Branson, check out this link; www.explorebranson.com, best description would be - a family-friendly, Christian-flavored Las Vegas.
We played at the amazing and quite large Mansion Theatre www.themansiontheater.com. The sound was unbelievable and so was our performance. It felt great to be on a big stage. We got great feedback from the judges. The video will be up in about a week or so.
the video for Do U Damage got accepted and was seen by someone i know personally on this program Feedback which airs on HBO Zone... good stuff, though i can't find a listing which episode it was on... oh well, you can always see it here, without the fuzzed out beer bottles and milk...
and the video has been accepted to the SXSW Film Festival 2008... 129 music videos were submitted, and 22 were chosen for screening... that's all i got, hopefully we will win something there, keep your crooked fingers crossed!
The Specimen placed second in the 15th Billboard Songwriting Contest in the Pop category. www.billboardsongcontest.com The first place winner opted out and so we will also perform at the awards ceremony in Brandon MO on March 29th and be eligible to win some cash prizes for best performance... if we do a good job of course!
we're going on friday the 28th, for soundcheck and a meet-and-greet with some industry people.
we're getting a room for free, butr we gotta fly ourselves out there...
