The String M.D. (that's Musical Doctor) grew up in North Minneapolis, MN after moving to the suburbs, He fell in love with the guitar after piano & sax lessons didn't pan out. From that time on, his life changed dramatically. With over 35 years experience working on guitar's, bass's, banjo's, mandolin's and other stringed instruments .

So what got you into the guitar all those years ago?

"I found something that gave me a feeling words just don't express to this day."
"I never had much money, I played cheap guitars & fixed them up with my dad who is also quite an accomplished player".

"He agreed to borrow me the money for my first expensive guitar (1975 Les Paul) which I still have".

"After several years of making inexpensive guitars play better and modifying the electronics in them, I was ready to operate on my expensive guitar critiquing it to my own personal liking as I continue to do on every guitar I own. Soon I was doing it for friends and the word got out."

"I've done house calls for many of my musician friends over the years and thought it was time to offer that same service to everyone."

I am certainly a fan of your work. Its one thing to mechanically fix a guitar. Its another to have a passion for fixing guitars. You care for each guitar as if owned them yourself.
You are truly a guitar craftsman. The work you have done on my guitars has been outstanding and never ceases to amaze me. My goal to make my guitar and my father's guitar more playable.
