At Threshold we work with every Artist from a national scale to a local developing artist with the same dedication, creativity and eagerness to make the best possible product to represent the artist and communicate to their fans and fans to be. The recording is an undeniably crucial part of being musician. A recording like a picture lasts for ever, frozen in time, the ultimate in a dream, a communication of a song; lets give it the deepest, most direct, and powerful point of connection possible. No longer is it the band being held by the sounds an engineer can achieve but how far the band can push themselves to create the greatest art possible. Threshold Studios operates using the most current, powerful, and universal DAW software available: Pro Tools 8 Within this software, the same Midi design, sound-scaping, analog/digital quantizing, re-mix/remaster, and routing techniques that are available in the highest-end studios in the US are at your disposal, as well as universal distribution of sessions, working with other Pro Tools studios for post-prodution is easier than ever. With the integration of Reason 4.0 Remixes and instrumental additions are quicker, easier, and more brilliant than ever. Waves Platinum bundle is available in its most current for, a full suite of tools to sculpt your sound to just about anything SoundReplacer, Drumagog, and Midi Kit Techniques are available for making the most out of ever Drum kit and Performance Guitar Modeling and Virtual instruments with stunning quality and realism are available making it virtually unnecessary to sacrifice the overall product due to insufficient quality gear. The difference I believe is the producer, the one behind the board with the know how to make you sound the way you want to sound: you have to be on the same page and you have to be willing to share information and philosophy of the art with an open mind. Through the entire process I want to explain what's happening, why it's happening and other options and methods for which the process can happen; feel free to ask questions, make remarks and try learn as much as possible. By looking into a quality recording with the ability to do post production (editing-soundFX-remixing) you are working your way up to be on the level that the artists you look up to are on. There is a lot of room to grow at threshold, never is the first recording with an engineer or producer the best recording possible, with a growing relationship and understanding for what the artist is trying to get across the better the recordings turn out. I believe that studio time is the time to develop, wouldn't it be great to know you were just paying for a time scratch out what you've got but enhancing it and building on.
