    The 4mat & The 4mula plus Jus one are a hip hop super group under the flag of their self owned and self promoted record label Pitch Black Creations. The 4mat - originally from Chicago, Il. migrated to southern California where he became a part of it's ever-growing hip hop scene. From entering talent contest, to performing at live shows and even performing on the street, this rising star was known in California as a part of the hip hop super group DarkSide Residents (who are comprised of Jus one, The 4mat & The 4mula). The 4mat was featured as Loon Addict aka L.Murdock on the debut album of DarkSide Residents "The Black Whole", released in October 2000. After returning to Chicago, The 4mat then blended up a tasty treat in the form of mixtape marketing called "High Voltage" (2003). In December 2005, The 4mat was featured on DarkSide Residents come back single "Deadicated". Also collaborating with several artist such as Sef the X and point Orion, The 4mat is hard at work with partner-n-rhyme The 4mula on their up and coming release The Prologue. The 4mula - a native of San Jose, CA migrated to Chicago in 2001 after the release of "The Black Whole". Like P/N/R (partner-n-rhyme), The 4mat, The 4mula has performed in various cities such as Oakland, San Francisco, and Oman. Also, part of Pitch Black Creations, The 4mula has been featured on various albums such as DarkSide Residents "The Black Whole", The 4mat's "High Voltage" and Sef the X's " Black and Foul"album to name a few. Also featured on "Deadicated" the 4mula is one third of the Whole 9 and founded Pitch Black Creations along side of Jus one and The 4mat. The 4mula has been a part of many crews such as South Bay Circle, the Invisible Army and M/K/P Posse. The 4mat & The 4mula - a unification of structure (The 4mat) and the method (The 4mula) which represent the 40 days and 40 nights of self cleansing. Both are vicious lyricists, painting vivid pictures of one's ever changing conditions (Heaven and Hell). 4 mat = the word of mouth, such as the chant 4 mula = the sounds of life and death itself.
