Experimental guitar trick of the month ( n°10 May)

1°- Tune your guitar in F- G#-C-G-A#-D# (Fa-Sol#-Do-Sol-La#-Re# for my french readers) 2° - Put some distortion 3°- Mute your fretboard with the 2d, 3d and 4th fingers of the left hand ,the 2d finger above the 5th fret 4°- Hit rythmically all the strings at the right hand with a bottleneck at the level of the 19th fret 5°- Release from time to time the 3d and 4th fingers of the left hand: youwill obtain some new harmonics and a new chord 6°- Do the same thing with the left hand above the 7th and the 12th fret. 7° - alternate the perpendicular hit of the bottleneck on all the chord with the hit of the high E string only (always with the bottleneck)

My favorite electronic tricks

Most instruments you hear on my tracks are not synthesizers : I use mostly a SPACE STATION (by Digitech, but not available anymore ),the famous E-BOW (that I also use on bass),the FREEZE ( by Electro-harmonix) that simulate a perfect synthesizer sheet out of any sound, the SLICER ( a boss pedal that transform any sound into Synthesizer sequence),a bass envelope filter named SYNTH WAH(I use on any instruments except Bass-by Digitech). My delay/reverb unit come from an old YAMAHA FX 500 from 1989 I would never exchange for anything in the world (I slept with it during 3 month in order to get the guts out of it ),and many others guitar pedals (I should be endorsed by Boss) My favorite synth sampler is HELIOS (a VST free software), and use the VST synth designed by H.G. FORTUNE (any synth he make is wonderful). For more detail about the material I use please read my Myspace blog.

About my music and my favorite artists

At the beginning music was not a goal to achieve in itself but rather a way to see if I was spiritually in tune or not because if it's the case music happens very easely ,flowing freely in your mind and in your hands. Ambient music like trance music or sacred music in the non occidental civilization is where the invisible (the spritual) and the visible (the sound ,the material to create that sound and the technic you have to use) meet. You can cheat with your tongue and your speech not with music. If you read french more about me athttp://www.mupiz.com/hery-randriambololona and few words that I wrote about my favorite musicians (also in french ) STEVE ROACH,JORGE REYES,ALIO DIE,STEPHAN MICUS,OOPHOÏ,TERRA AMBIENT,and TUU:http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/chroniques/roach.htm /http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/articles/steve_roach.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/ethnotempos/articles/jorge_reyes.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/ethnotempos/chroniques/jorge_reyes.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/ethnotempos/articles/jorge_reyes.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/chroniques/aliodie.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/articles/alio_die.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/chroniques/oophoi.htm / http://rythmes-croises.org/traversesmag/chroniques/terra_ambient.htm / http://www.rythmes-croises.org/ethnotempos/articles.item.52/stephan-micus.html http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27223396/TUU.pdf
