In February-March 2001, guitarist & founder of the band Tomer Hasenfratz, after a long search for band members to form a death metal band in his area, hooked up with vocalist Michael Zolotov and another guitarist Tal Levi and formed SIGN OF CAIN, and kept on searching for other band members. By April 2001 Tomer found drummer Tom Seter, and bass player Dani S. After some practicing and shit progress Tal got replaced by another guitarist Barak Shimoni, and later on Dani decided to quit the band for personal reasons. After that the band was about to crumble and fall apart.

By August 2001 the band wasn't active at all, the drummer and guitarist were no longer real official members and so Tomer decided to bring back Tal as a bass player. After that the band searched for guitarists and drummers for months. Playing with several drummers and guitarists and constantly looking for steady players. By January 2002 the band became more of an Old school Brutal Death Metal band decided to stay with one guitar only, and didn't yet have a steady drummer. Meanwhile the band became more and more brutal and extreme, and so did all its content. By February 2002 the band had a steady drummer Monk, and was playing a more modern brutal death metal, song writing and progress were still slow, yet the band remained solid for a while.

By March 2002 bass player Tal decided to quit the band once and for all. The remaining band members were Monk, Michael and Tomer. Playing with a couple of more bass players which failed to fit in, the band soon drowned back to the old days of no progress and no full lineup. It was April 2002 when Monk decided to quit the band leaving only Michael and Tomer. After a while as Tomer kept working on some more song writing, old member Dani S. joined the band again re-inforcing the progress of the band who now changed its name to SEVERELY BASHED up until August 2002, where Monk joined the line up again and Then the band officially changed their name to VISCERA TRAIL. Finally not so long after that on October 2002 Monk decided once again to leave the band for good and quickly the band found a new drummer Jonathan Dushnitzki. And on December 2002 Vocalist Yaron Shaham joined the band Creating a never before solid line up, to form one of the most brutal bands ever built in Israel.

The 5 piece who by then formed a style running between American Goregrind to deathgrind, entered the studio to record a first Demo in winter 2002 named - “ROADKILL”, which the band uploaded for free download in it’s website. The songs from the demo were officially released in several compilations around the world in the same genre. A few months later the band got disbanded but reformed in the summer of 2003 by Tomer, with a fully new lineup including Shahaf Ostfeld (Lead singer), Yinon Tal (Drummer) and Dani (Bass). The band got a lot heavier more technical and more complexed in music, and became a Technical Brutal Death metal mixed together with Deathgrind all in the vein of the American way. In January 2004 Dani left the band and got replaced by Yaniv Kirshon on bass.

The band entered the studio again on April 2004 to record it’s single – “Hack till Gravy”. The single opened new doors for the band around the world even before she got evolved in Israel. Later the band started performing live all over Israel. In October 2004 the band re-entered the studio to record their debut album entitled “Piled Up Dead”. Which included 6 tracks and an classical intro performed on violin by Violinist Gad Lev. That time the band stared gaining a name in the worldwide brutal scene and slowly in Israel aswell. The debut album was released in winter 2005 under ”Epitomite Productions” of Illinois. In july 2006 The band entered the studio again to record it’s 2’nd album “Humiliation-Ridden Evisceration” including material who took the band two and a half years to write. The album included 10 tracks playing for 50 minutes, with a re-recorded version for “Hack till Gravy”.

Then in the beginning of 2007 Yinon decided to part ways with the band, a thing which put the band on a long hiatus. At that time the band started getting offers from around the world for different tours which they could not fulfill for the lack of a drummer. Meanwhile the band proceeded with the work on it’s new album which suffered tremendous delays, and kept searching for a drummer to fill in for the bands needs. At that time the band stopped any live shows entirely up until the album got released on May 21’st 2009, nearly 3 years after it was recorded, and the band returned to stage on June 13’th 2009 for a special release show and a last one with drummer Yinon Tal. The band retrieved its faith and support within the Israel crowd by its ever famous gore and costume carnival at their shows. 3 months later the band found the right drummer for them and added Tuval Refaeil to the lineup and closed the dormant chapter of the band. Immediately the band booked it’s first European tour in November 2009. Nowadays the band is preparing for it’s new 3’rd bashing and is in the process of writing material gathered along the last few years until today.
