"....Una minoranza sociale è una forma dell’agire, un precipitato micro sociale, l’aggregazione più immediata dove si coagula la dimensione collettiva di una società del consumo e dove si riorganizza il senso del gruppo ed il metodo dell’azione. È nella crisi dell’universo ‘sociale’ e delle sue categorie che esplode il fenomeno delle minoranze, che non hanno più nulla di minoritario o di subordinato e non sono più sulla difensiva, ma hanno l’ambizione di possedere il mondo, di esercitare egemonia attraverso un punto di vista di parte che produce immaginario, culture e mentalità. Si trasformano in potenze autoreferenziali, immanenti e che non rinviano ad alcuna dialettica politica o ad alcun trasferimento trascendentale dei loro obiettivi. Privatizzazione degli spazi pubblici, frantumazione del ‘sociale’, appartenenza culturale come valore primario che sa distinguere con chiarezza tra chi è amico e chi è nemico, assenza dell’azione politica che non riesce più a produrre strumenti di mediazione e di sintesi: se questa è la situazione allora c’è bisogno di un paradigma di lettura della società diverso rispetto al passato. Ed è il consumo a fornirlo. Perché sono il consumo e le sue culture individualiste, impolitiche, distruttive che definiscono oggi i nuovi attori e i nuovi conflitti...."

"...A social minority is a way to act. It is a micro-social actualisation; the group where the collective dimension of a consumption society re-organizes itself by re-defining meanings and methods of action. It is in the crisis of a "Social" universe - and in its categories - that the minorities phenomenon explodes, where the concept of "Minor" has nothing to do anymore with subordination or defense; hence the ambition to own the world, to exercise hegemony through a partial perspective producing imaginaries, cultures, mentalities. Minorities then shape themselves in self-referential, immanent power through the radical cut of any political dialectics or any transcendental transfer of their own goals. Privatisation of public spaces, crisis of the "social", cultural belonging as a primary value to identify the enemy, disappearance of political action as the impossibility to develop tools of mediation and synthesis. If this is the situation then a need of a new sociological paradigm stands. And it is the frame of consumption which gives the tools of a new reading as its individualistic, apolitical, nihilistic cultures are now defining the new social actors and the new conflicts.

EAT ME is a body art piece by Kira O'Reilly and Warbear included in the V.A.S.T.A.L. VIRGINARIUM cycle of lectures and perfomances organised by the the scientist Adam Zaretsky, founder of the "Vivo Arts School for Transgenic Aesthetics Ltd. (V.A.S.T.A.L.)" The focus was centered on the design of a human sterile glove box as a space:

1) To explore the body in performance and stressed physiology as personal or public shock chemistry;
2) To enact pure culture technique in science and its effect on the making of clean and dirty bodies;
3) To expose the artist's input on future body aesthetics during the present genetic reproductive redesign of the human form;
4) To embody the erotic containment and the thrill of contagious patients exploding; experiments, lab animals and the distance (or presumed distance) that objectivity implies.

Delle pene, dei delitti" di Francesco WARBEAR Macarone Palmieri, presentato alla Facultad de Bellas Artes "San Carlos" dell'Università Politecnica di Valencia (Spagna) all'interno della conferenza Interferencias Viscerales prodotta dal collettivo di ricercatrici IDEAS DESTROYNG MUROS.
Il saggio sarà pubblicato in ottobre dalla stessa Università.
