.. .. .. .. whyweclimb is the project i made in 2007 when i was totally at a loose end with music. it seemed you couldn't be in a band without an agenda, or an image, or a sound that would fit into a genre box. whyweclimb is literally somewhere i can blow my musical nose into. .... all of these songs are one take recordings. i've left in bum notes, string twangs, off timings, everything. for me, its all the little flaws that make something special. so yeah, sometimes the songs are ropey, but its how i enjoy them. i guess i'm trying to make organic music, complete with brown spots and blemishes =).... i really adore acoustic music - but its quite samey. you have to either be sad or melencholy to be considered effective. not that i'm promising to break boundaries, i'm just acknowledging i'm aware of them. .... there have been, and there are, some amazing and inspirational people in my life. there are also some who aren't yet, but i can feel are going to be sat next to my heart for a long time. i now live in the present. and today i feel warm and content. .... thanks for reading. .... kyle - wwc ........ .. ps.. i do alot of design and video work outside of this project. i've made videos for kong, chickenhawk, blessed house, wintermute and soon to be working with xl records and nme tv. filmy film film. i'm responsible for all of cotheria's artwork, so if you want anything doing... i'd love to. ....www.roachproductions.com.... ..!!!
