FOR BEST WORLD MUSIC ALBUMMid way through a world tour after releasing his latest studio album earlier this year, Xavier Rudd has been announced as a 2010 ARIA Award Nominee in the BEST WORLD MUSIC ALBUM category for ‘Koonyum Sun’.
The album marked a fresh, new musical and spiritual awakening for Xavier, being his first with bassist Tio Moloantoa and percussionist Andile Nqubezelo under the unified banner of Xavier Rudd & Inzintaba.
Xavier continues to take his poignant music to the world, combining the raw edge of his rigorous guitar/vocal/didgeridoo and percussion workouts with strident messages of social activism and peace. Known primarily as an incredible musician it is his commitment and passion for music, social and environmental activism and surfing that has seen him travel many times around the world.
