  • Bio

I've been singing since I was 9 years old, when my personal hero was Avril Lavigne (and her neckties). Thankfully, a lot of things have changed since then. I started writing songs when I was 10, when I started listening to Evanescence and Linkin Park alongside Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff (awkward). Then I discovered The Used, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Taking Back Sunday...all those rock bands. You know how some people have a jazz soul, a blues soul, or a soul-soul? I guess I have a rock soul buried somewhere under layers of something else. I have some knowledge about guitar, but that's just because I've had lessons back in 2008. I started teaching myself piano by ear in 2009. This is my 2nd year of learning the piano formally. I'm a full-time student. My main goal is to publish a novel. Then comes writing/directing a film. Then comes getting a band together to make awesome music.

I sing, write lyrics and come up with chord progressions with my piano (Yamaha PortableGrand DGX 360). My sister's Macbook Pro and Epsom Girls Grammar School's Mac Desktop (Logic Pro Studio) and equipment are my main gadgets. I also collaborate with Pim Somprasong, who records some guitar and helps out with chords.
  • Influences

Lady Gaga's acoustic performances and demos as Stefani Germanotta. The Hush Sound, Panic! at the Disco, my piano teacher Charlotte Corner. Things that also inspire me are: music videos, films and books.
  • Sounds Like

I'm not sure yet. People say different things. I guess it will take more time for me to know.
