Zeke Roland is based out of North Carolina. First picked up the guitar at eleven. At sixteen years of age his 1st band was Three Shades of Green w/ Kieth Harellson (currently of Rogersville Road).............. Zeke Roland has been performing as singer songwriter professionally for the last several years. Zeke has wrote his own songs for 12 years and still play some from those early days. Zeke has well over 400 songs and is constantly busy writing more. Expect another EP this fall. Several demos have been given, stole, sold, used as coasters and so on for years. Live shows with different bands are available. WAYLON AND THE NASHING OF TEETH is Zeke'sband. He thought of the name these things led to the name; Waylon Jennings, the book of Revelation, Waylon's cocaine/ speed induced,tightly clinched jaw and of course Nashville are the touchstones. We all know Nashing is properly spelled with a "gn", we have no idea why................................Zeke has traveled to several states this side of thr Mississippi River to play paying shows and gigs. He has opened for PaleFace and Mo a few times, Ian Thomas, The New Familiars, Jeff Holmes, Willie and Me to name a few that come to mind. Zeke's been an opening act and a headliner of sold out shows and damn near empty bars. If you make a living doing what you love, don't work a strait job, don't take anyshit from anyone then maybe you are living the dream. Maybe you are losing or maybe you are the American Dream. It all depends on your point of view. We all saw the same thing...........Bob Dylan said that. Thank you to all who support live music, original songs and those of us who give up everything to chase them and break our necks and bang our heads against the walls to play them for you.........................................................................................................Zeke Roland has been a member of several different bans at least 10 off tops. On any given night he can be found with anyone from Will Coppage, Brisket, Ron Etheridge and Travis Shallow, Shane Griiffis or whoever may call needing a guitarist,harmonica madolin, banjo, vocalist or any combination of those things. Alot of shows get handed to Zeke the day before or the day of so they're not always listed. I think that makes for spontinaity and surprises. When you find your self at a show or a bar to see someone and another player sits in to keep things fresh or replace a double booked or sick musician. Zeke rarely cancels. 99% of the time he will pick up a paying or artist friendly gig given to him, keep this in mind if you book shows. Thanks again to all musicians, bars , ciubs, fans, people at shows and all friends for thier help, support, lending of gear and rides, tips and advice pn life, playing, promotion, protection of original material. Thanks for help in spreading the word that there is more music out there than the radio and record companies would have you know. There are great songwriters and performers in almost every city that you can name. Support them by thier music and merchandise so they can tour and some can make records. I think thats a great idea..
Id love for ya to come play in my area
cause I have been wanting to see ya rock out :)
I will get a list of some clubs and phone numbers
in my area and you can see what they say ok.
I have not been on myspace alot either since
I do the Facebook thing...I seem to enjoy it
a lil more and it keeps me busy as Im sure
you can tell,..hehe.
So what are ya doing this weekend? Do ya have
